Since 1956 Leon Cardini has practiced his craft of refinishing furniture and restoring fine art. Cardini learned his craft from his father, who came from Florence, Italy. According to Cardini, many finishers are immigrants or first-generation Americans because the craft is highly regarded in other countries. "In Italy, it's highly respected because it combines all trades: painting, sculpture and inlaying gold leaf."
He has retired to Prescott Valley from his highly
successful business in California and now specializes in art restoration and refinishing. His restoration and refinish work includes all types of art media.
