Nadia Clark was born in the North of France and grew up on the coast of the English Channel in Le Touquet. Beachcombing in the winter months on the vast deserted beach was one of her favorite pastimes. Under the grey skies, a simple shell with just a different tint of white or yellow or grey was the prize. In school, her favorite subject was natural sciences as she got to be good at drawing and inking replicates of plants, animals and bone illustrations.
She moved to Arizona in 1991 and decided to take art classes at Mesa Community College with the idea of complementing her family picture framing business. She started with exploring watercolors, really enjoyed lino cut printing and is now using her camera as her main art tool. In Prescott Valley, in the high desert of Arizona, she looks forward to the late spring so she can comb the high yellow grass for spots of color. With the same excitement as in her youth, she loves the discoveries of new colors and new shapes in nature.
When she observes nature and its seemingly infinite combinations, she is reminded that with using our creativity we can plug in an infinity of ideas and solutions. Yes and "oui", a good life lesson and reminder wherever we are.
